Last updated: October 2026 · Version 2026-10-v1
This policy explains which cookies are used on the ertanlar.com site, for what purpose and for how long they are stored, and how you can manage your preferences. For details on how your personal data is processed, see the Privacy Policy and KVKK Privacy Notice.
1. What Is a Cookie?
Cookies are small text files saved on your device through your browser when you visit a website. They may be necessary for the site to work, may remember your preferences, or may help produce visit statistics.

Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to work and cannot be turned off in the preference banner. Analytics cookies are set only if you consent.
3. Cookies We Do Not Use
Our site does not use advertising or marketing cookies of its own. The advertising permissions under Google Consent Mode v2 (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) remain "denied" in all cases.
4. Consent Mechanism
- When you open the site for the first time, a cookie banner appears at the bottom of the page; the banner offers Accept, Reject and Preferences options.
- Analytics cookies are not set until you make a choice. Under Google Consent Mode v2, analytics permission is "denied" by default.
- With Accept, only analytics permission ("analytics_storage") is granted and Google Analytics 4 starts working.
- With Reject, only strictly necessary cookies are used.
- With Preferences, you can view the categories and choose individually.
- Your choice is stored in the
ertanlar_consentcookie for 6 months; when the period ends, your preference is asked again.
5. Changing Your Preferences or Withdrawing Consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time. By clicking the "Cookie Preferences" link at the bottom of the page, you can reopen the cookie banner and enable or disable analytics cookies. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out up to the moment of withdrawal.
6. Deleting or Blocking Cookies in Your Browser
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, some functions such as forms may not work. Instructions by browser:
7. Embedded and Third-Party Content
- YouTube: When you open the promotional video on the home page, the video is loaded from YouTube. At that point Google may use cookies and similar technologies under its own policy; the durations of these cookies are determined by Google. If you do not open the video, YouTube content is not loaded. The YouTube and LinkedIn icons on the site are links only; no data is shared with these sites unless you click the link.
- Google Maps: If you choose to load the map on the contact page ("Load map" button), the map is loaded from Google; no connection to Google is made before you load it, and Google may use cookies and similar technologies.
For the privacy practices of these third-party services, see the policies of the relevant providers.
8. Legal Basis
Strictly necessary cookies are used without explicit consent, as they are required to provide the site, under the legitimate interests of the data controller (KVKK Art. 5/2-f). Analytics cookies are set only on the basis of your explicit consent (KVKK Art. 5/1). For the transfer abroad through Google of data collected by analytics cookies, see Privacy Policy, Section 7.
9. Contact
For questions about cookies, you can write to info@@ertanlar.com. Your rights as a data subject and how to apply are explained in Privacy Policy, Sections 10 and 11.
10. Changes
This policy may be updated if the cookies used on the site or the legislation change. The current version is always published on this page.
